As a Professional Learning Specialist - Literacy (Kâ12), you'll be at the forefront of this mission, partnering with schools and districts to implement our WriteVue, WriteAhead and MY Access! programs aligned with state standards and district goals. What you'll do:
- Deliver Engaging Professional Development - Facilitate dynamic workshops, webinars, and coaching sessions to support the implementation of Vantage Learning's literacy solutions, including WriteVue, WriteAghead and MY Access!,
Impact: Enhance district leaders understanding of systemwide glows and growth areas and educators' instructional practices, leading to improved student literacy achievement. - Analyze and Interpret Literacy Data - Utilize assessment tools to analyze student performance data, guiding educators in data-driven decisions for instruction.
Impact: Enable targeted interventions and differentiated instruction to meet diverse student needs. - Collaborate with Educational Stakeholders - Work closely with teachers, administrators, and district leaders to align literacy initiatives with curriculum standards and educational goals. Impact: Foster cohesive literacy programs that support systemic educational improvement.
- Provide Ongoing Coaching and Support â Deliver professional learning sessions, including implementation sessions, deep data reviews and action planning, foundations of writing success and other webinars, lunch & learns and workshops as necessary.
Impact: Build educators' capacity to deliver high-quality literacy instruction consistently. - Contribute to Continuous Improvement - Gather feedback from professional development sessions to inform the refinement of Vantage Learning's literacy programs and services.
Impact: Ensure our offerings remain responsive to educators' needs and educational trends. - Renew and expand the business- Vantage Learning products (WriteVue, WriteAhead, MY Access) and literacy services (curriculum alignment, data analysis, benchmarking, state test practice, coaching, etc).
Impact: Working as a team to help increase revenue by supporting existing clients.
You need these qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or higher in Education, English Language Arts, Curriculum and Instruction, or a related field.
- 5+ years of effective ELA teaching experience, including implementation of evidence-based instructional strategies. At least 3 years of experience delivering professional development and coaching educators.
- Strong understanding of Common Core standards, State standards and rubrics, ESSA, and data-driven instruction.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to analyze data to inform instruction and support differentiated learning.
- Familiarity with adult learning principles and instructional coaching models.
- Willingness to travel for on-site professional development sessions as required.
- Willingness to be a great team member and tackle new projects as directed.
It would be nice if you have:
- Experience with Vantage Learning's literacy tools and platforms.
- Experience designing and implementing curriculum development.
- Proficiency in virtual facilitation tools and learning management systems.
- Prior implementation and client management experience.
